Museum Circle by Car

Directions
To visit the twelve (12) Santa Barbara downtown museums by car, take U.S. Highway 101 to the Garden Street exit. If coming from the north/south, turn right/left at the offramp stop light. Proceed toward the ocean on Garden Street to Cabrillo Blvd. Turn right onto Cabrillo Blvd. and proceed to State Street where Museum Circle begins. Just follow the map (solid red line) to each museum.

Parking Information
See the map for the location of the city parking lot closest to each museum. These are the parking rates:
Regular Rates: First 75 minutes are free, each hour or part of an hour after the initial 75 minutes is $1.50. You are entitled to one 75 minute free period per 24 hours at each lot.
Disabled Rates: First 2½ hours are FREE, each hour or part of an hour thereafter is $1.50. The daily maximum is $7.00. A valid placard or plate is required to receive this rate.
Lots are open 24 hours daily. Sun. - Thur. (7:30a.m. - 9:00p.m.) and Fri. - Sat. (7:30a.m. - 2:00a.m.)
Pre-Paid Parking Cards. Just present at the exit and go! Pre-Paid Cards are available for purchase at the Downtown Parking Office (Granada Garage) located at 1221 Anacapa Street, Mon. - Fri., (8:00a.m. - 4:30p.m.). Cards are available in $30, $60, $90, and $120 denominations. Cards may be recharged at the Downtown Parking Office up to the original purchase amount only. Phone (805) 564-5656 for information.

Museum Mile by 50¢ Shuttle

You can visit Santa Barbara’s twelve (12) downtown museums along Museum Mile on an open-air, electric shuttle that runs up and down State Street and along the waterfront. Museum Mile runs along State Street from Cabrillo Blvd. to Anapamu Street (see blue dotted line on map). The fare is only 50 cents. Shuttles run until 6p.m. year-round, and until 10p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings during the Summer. Shuttle Fall & Winter Schedule

Transfers are required when traveling between the Downtown Shuttles and the Waterfront Shuttles. The Waterfront Shuttles run along Cabrillo Blvd. west to Harbor Way and east to the S.B. Zoo. Ask the driver as you board the first shuttle for a shuttle transfer. (Note that shuttle transfers are not valid to or from other MTD bus lines.) The shuttle stops along State Street’s Museum Mile at nearly every intersection including the Amtrak Station.
