A review of the work of members of the NIADA organization since its founding in 1963 until approximately 2008. More than 630 pieces by 160 artists are shown in nine chapters that cover the basic types of material used, such as air dry clay, fiber, paper, wood, fired clay, polymer, wax mixed media, and a section on dolls designed for commercial production. An artist list at the end gives brief biographical information on each member, and there are lists of books and videos by member artists as well as museums and public collections where their work can be seen. Funds to publish the book were donated by the Susan Quinlan Doll & Teddy Bear Museum & Library.
