The process for making ormolu miniatures furniture was very poisonous, involving liquid mercury, and is no longer possible to make for this reason. Also the workmanship on these early pieces is outstanding. Many of these items have been attributed to the wrong manufacturer in the past. This book contains three catalogs of the Erhard & Sohne company showing in black and white many of the items they produced. There is also a section in color showing pieces owned by various collectors. A brief history of the company is included. Text in English and German.
